Ekte Norsk is an approved Norwegian course provider. It is built on the idea that learning should be engaging and practical. I design my courses based on the latest research in Second Language Acquisition and implement the principle of learning by doing.
The goal is to help you become independent in your learning, so you can use the language with confidence and act swiftly when you are faced with a new word or expression. With me, learning Norwegian is about mastery, freedom, and the joy of learning.

Founder's Message
Ekte Norsk started as a TikTok blog where I shared short videos about the Norwegian language and culture. The project made me realize how many people are looking for a more lively and understandable way to learn Norwegian. That’s why I decided to create a school where this way of learning has more space – where the language is used, lived, and experienced in practice.
I base my work on the latest research, my own experience as a language learner & immigrant, and many years of teaching practice. I love seeing when something “clicks” for my students – when they suddenly understand, find courage to speak, and feel that Norwegian is a language they succeed with.
Kind regards,
Alisa Ovchinnikova

My name is Alisa and I am the founder, teacher and instructional designer at Ekte Norsk. My teacher education is approved in Norway.
Bachelor in Foreign Language Pedagogics (4 yrs)
I took a higher language teacher education where I learned French and English in depth, covering all the aspects of language study. My favourite subjects were Language History, Latin and Lexicology.
Master in Management (2 yrs)
Focused on building good systems, motivating people, and turning ideas into practical solutions. I bring that mindset into teaching — making Norwegian learning clear, structured and empowering.
Norwegian as a Second Language (45 credits)
Three semesters focused on Norwegian grammar and second language acquisition. This course deepened my understanding of how Norwegian is learned and taught from a linguistic perspective.
DELTA Module 1
Helped me connect language systems with analysis-based teaching decisions and view lessons as purposeful, efficient, and result-oriented processes.
Instructional Designer Course
Strengthened my ability to design learning intentionally — analysing learner needs, keeping motivation high, and creating materials that truly support progress.

This course gives you a systematic approach to developing your Norwegian vocabulary. Instead of relying on random translations, you will learn how to use dictionaries and digital tools in a way that helps you understand new words faster, remember them longer, and use them in real communication.
The course consists of 6 modules: an introduction, a detailed walkthrough of Lexin, NAOB and Ordbøkene.no, working effectively with Google Translate, and final recommendations on how to choose and combine different tools. Each module includes short screen-demo videos and interactive tasks to check your understanding.
The course is suitable for levels A1–B2 of Norwegian, especially if you want to make faster progress, prepare for the Norskprøve, and become more independent in your language learning.
